Maillard Block Teaching Mat

A large rectangular teaching mat that defines a dedicated floor area for blocks, construction play, group activity, and shared project work.

The 200 × 300 cm format creates a clear boundary for building materials and helps keep construction play organised within a broader classroom. Children can gather around the surface, plan layouts, combine pieces, and revisit work while other activities continue nearby. At 0.7 cm thick, the mat supports comfortable floor participation, spatial planning, cooperative problem-solving, and more orderly movement around an active block zone.
